The oldest
I never thought I would be "old enough" to have adult children. I was 20 years old when Dylan was born. Why is it when you have kids you think, I'll be 40 when he is 20 (or is it only me that does that?) We grew up together. He was my "test baby" I used to tell him. I remember one time when he was about 5 years old, I bought this leg wax. The hair on my legs wasn't long enough to try it out, but it was on Dylan's. My mom and I put a small blob of wax on his leg and pulled it off with that piece of material they give you. He still has a bald spot there to this day. My cousin Drew was the only boy I grew up with. I only have sisters. So, when I found out my first baby was going to be a boy, I panicked! I didn't know what to do with boys! I learned quickly... you get peed on a lot when they are babies.
Dylan had the best imagination growing up. His baby-sitter didn't have a TV so he had to play during the day with the other kids and animals. He could play by himself for hours when he was little. He used to have imaginary friends and they would go places with us. The only one I can remember though was "Dixon" and we picked him up at the Texaco 😂. Dylan wanted to adopt him. It was quite entertaining. On Dylan's first day of Kindergarten, Drake was born. He has always been the best big brother to all of his siblings. When I was looking at pictures for this blog, I was ashamed that I didn't have any pictures of Dylan alone. When he is around his siblings all want to be where he is. They adore him. He moved out almost 3 years ago and that was HARD on them! Especially Drake. I missed him of course, I still do, but that was what I was supposed to do... work myself out of a job and "let him go." I'm proud of him! He's a good man and a hard worker. I still look at him in awe and think, we made it "Goose". I did the best I could/knew how, and I think he turned out ok. To know him is to love him!
Wishing you sunny skies and green pastures,
McKession
Beautiful children.
