A Stroll through Serenity

The views - they're amazing!

It's like a window into heaven

On Saturday Charley, Noah, Addy and I went for a walk to the Walkers Creek Fire Department. I have never walked there and wasn't sure how far it was, but we were up for the challenge. We don't live that far from it (if you're driving!) Where we live really is a beautiful place. I know I've said that in previous blogs, but you should take a "Sunday drive" out to see it. The pictures above are just a glimpse and definitely don't do it justice!

Charley and I are trying to move our bodies more and get more exercise. So, Saturday morning we set out to see how far it was. Now I thought this walk might kill me like the first walk at the beach did. The pace wasn't as fast. I was pushing a stroller and trying not to get tripped by the puppy. We didn't do too bad though. We made it to the WCFD and back home in exactly 1 hour. It is 2.6 miles round trip. It feels MUCH farther when you're walking it though, LOL.

As I was walking, I just kept looking up and admiring the beauty of the little dot on the map I get to call home. There are many other beautiful places in the world, many, many of which I have never seen and may never see in person; but when you get to see these mountains and that beautiful blue sky every.day, it's something to be oh so grateful for and reminds you of who has the "whole world in His hands."

Wishing you sunny skies and green pastures,

McKession
