So long Summer
I see you God!

Can you believe it is September already?!?! September is probably my favorite month. It's our anniversary month, the weather finally starts to cool down and God shows off in those beautiful skies. The leaves start to change, and I'm reminded that it's good to "let things go" like the trees let the leaves go. We had a pretty good summer around here. We went to the beach; the littles and I went to Kings Dominion (hopefully we will get to go again before they close) and we just hung out at the pool.
It's high school football season around here. In Gladiator country, it's a BIG deal. Garrett went to Riverheads, and I went to Buffalo Gap. They have always been rivals, and there's always a lot of trash talking going on right about now. My oldest son Dylan played football at Riverheads and has 3 State Championship rings. It's impressive and a big deal in "Title Town." Since he graduated and Drake doesn't play football I haven't gone to as many games as I used to. If you have never been to a Riverheads home game though, you should definitely check it out. They have fireworks and the energy in the stands will give you chills. It's a lot of fun. Go when Gap plays Riverheads 😊. I cannot believe I have been out of school 25 years this year. It definitely does not seem like it's been that long. I'm much cooler now than I was then though (just wish I could get that body back that I thought was so "fat"!) I still "see" a lot of my classmates on Facebook. I'm grateful for that. To my knowledge there is not a class reunion planned. I'm going to need Billy Drumheller (our class president) to get on that.
My mom keeps saying we are going to have an early fall, I guess we will see if she's right. I hope everyone had as much fun this summer as you wanted to, and I hope the fall and winter are good to you and your families.
Wishing you sunny skies and green pastures,
McKession
